KFDI radio, found at 101.3 on the dial has a unique way of honoring veterans and all they do as they continue to be heroes on the homefront. This segment is called the Star Spangled Salute and is just what it sounds like, a salute to all those who continue to give and serve in a specific way. Saved in America was awarded this coveted honor and given the “star spangled salute” on air to say “good job” to all the veterans saving kids who work tirelessly for no monetary compensation to fight back against human trafficking.

This engaging video explains the beginning of Saved in America, how they do what they do, the experts behind the group and much more. It is an emotional and accurate account that is somewhat alarming in nature, but one that merits a view.  

Human trafficking, known as modern day slavery, is rising to epidemic levels throughout the United States. Border states like Texas are particularly vulnerable and at risk for the expedient growth of this industry. News Channel 4 San Antonio explains this reality and extols the merits of Saved in America, a group which is coming to Texas for free in order to fight back against this industry. 

KUSI News, San Diego’s more local news station, proudly covered the expansion of Saved in America’s efforts through their new mobile command center. This news story interviews Joseph Travers, one of the founders of Saved in America, and also looks at this recent expansion in the organization that has changed the way rescues are overseen and research and surveillance are conducted. 

The Epoch Times is known for covering important topics that impact the lives of everyday Americans. Their story on Saved in America and how they are made up of retired Navy SEALs and police investigators who together are fighting for American teens and against them being sold into sex trafficking is one great example. The article begins by sharing the horrific situation so many families throughout America have experienced when their child goes missing. 

Saved in America is made up of a team of professional volunteers who have military specialist training, law enforcement training/experience, or some form of both. Kirby Horrell, Master Chief Special Warfare Operator and former SEAL is one of our most qualified volunteers. He shared a message about the SEAL Ethos as a way to commemorate Veterans Day. 

Founder of Saved in America, Joseph Travers, appeared on the Mark Larson Radio Show to discuss the reality of human trafficking in San Diego County and the way that Saved in America is fighting back against this evil industry that is growing by leaps and bounds all over the nation. Within San Diego County, there are around 5,000 trafficked kids being victimized by the sex trafficking industry yearly. Each child that is trafficked will make a predator on average $100,000 per child. Nationwide, there are 300,000 missing children at any given time, with 100,000 of these estimated to be victims of human trafficking.
