KFDI 101.3 in California gives a Star Spangled Salute to worthy organizations to highlight acts of service performed by veterans throughout the state and beyond. It is a way for the station to tell its expansive listeners all about the acts of services performed by veterans after their service to their country has ended. While not exactly the level of the Presidential Medal of Honor, the Star Spangled Salute is still a significant honor, especially for locals.
