Access Daily

This episode of Access Daily features a mom who sought out the help of Saved in America, along with founder Joseph Travers who came on to explain the case. This case, thankfully, had a happy ending after the mom of the missing girl got Saved in America involved. However, due to the girl’s living situation and economic standing, she was far from what one would assume a victim would look like. This exemplifies the reality of the human trafficking industry and showcases how it can impact families and kids of all types.

No Warning, No Indication

In most cases in life, you would hope that would be warning that something bad was about to happen. With weather, this could look like a tornado warning indicating that there is a storm spotted in the area. In the case of a hurricane warning or flood warning, same thing, there is a danger coming, so get out. There was no such warning for this mom who simply discovered her beloved daughter missing and had no idea what had happened. Law enforcement in the area were hitting dead ends, so the mom turned to Saved in America to hopefully make something happen. Travers explains on the show the importance for parents to know what their kids are doing at all times, even or perhaps especially online, as sex trafficking predators are using social media and other online avenues to access their victims, sometimes right under the nose of their parents.

The Rescue and Recovery

The case shared on this episode does have a happy ending in that SIA did find the missing girl and were able to return her to her family. However, although the end result was a rescue, the victim of this crime was forever impacted by the traumatic situation she lived through. Her mother even stated that she would never be the same as she was before this incident. This fact highlights the need for ongoing counseling, drug rehabilitation and safe housing options for victims of these crimes to help them put their lives back together after they are rescued. Today, the victim is thriving and living a life of value and worth. She would possibly have not even had that chance if her mother hadn’t sought the help of Saved in America to find her when all hope was lost.
