High-Tech Tool

When you think of crime-fighting technology and tools, you likely consider small devices that are powerfully effective or those that can be cleverly hidden. However, when it comes to this high-tech tool, acquired by Saved in America, the size is a bit larger than you might assume and its purpose even more impactful. In fact, this high-tech tool specifically designed to combat human trafficking is a 37-foot long trailer, allowing the team at SIA to create a mobile command center.

Mobile Command Center

The mobile command center provides Saved in America with a new way to fight back against the horrors of human trafficking. This mobile center takes all the tools on the road, allowing the team to go anywhere necessary to find a missing child. Due to its spacious storage, they can also bring along various types of equipment that make rescues possible like electronic gear, drones, and other safety equipment. This was all unveiled at the San Diego County Administration Center, highlighting another win for the good guys trying to counteract the booming sex trafficking industry.

Why a Command Center is a Game-Changer

While the team at Saved in America have been finding missing girls without the help of a mobile command center to this point, this new addition to the team makes the process much easier, and the volunteers at SIA need all the help they can get to fight back against this growing industry. There are an estimated 4,000 missing children at any given time in the San Diego area according to the Department of Justice. Nationwide, this number is estimated to be 4,240,000. Suffice it to say that there is a big job that needs to be done when it comes to finding kids quickly. Thankfully, the mobile command center does make it at least easier to create a home base and even offers a place for the families to stay when police are performing a rescue. San Diego County Supervisor Kristin Gaspar stated the following about the importance of finding kids quickly:

“Within 48 hours of being on the streets one third of these children are lured or recruited into the underground world of prostitution and pornography.”

Thankfully, with the help of this new mobile unit, Saved in America can work on multiple recoveries at the same time and have a central point of communication for their team.
