Giving Back

Mentioned in the September 2021 issue of Giving Back Magazine as a way to bring additional awareness to the event was the 4th Annual #ChildSavedNotSold Fundraising Dinner. The Featured Speaker at the event was none other than former Acting Commission of the Customs Border Protection, FBI Assistant Director, Officer with the Los Angeles Police Department, and 10-year marine corps veteran Mark A. Morgan. Other featured speakers and notable participants included Congressman Darrell Issa and Mark Larson of KUSI who served as the Master of Ceremonies.

What is Giving Back Magazine?

Giving Back Magazine is a monthly bilingual and binational publication that features notable businesses, individuals, and events affecting or taking place in the San Diego/Tijuana community. To be mentioned within the pages of this prestigious and respected magazine means that an organization has met a high standard of giving back and making a difference in the area. Therefore, at Saved in America, we are grateful for this magazine covering this event and bringing even more awareness to our organization and what we do to help save kids all across the nation from the evils of human trafficking.

While Fundraising Dinners Are so Important

The elegant dinner event that took place at the US Grant Hotel was a gala everyone wanted to attend. However, the reasoning behind the classy event was to raise much-needed funds for our organization, Saved in America. Our nonprofit, volunteer-supported group was founded in 2009 by Joseph A. Travers and is based out of San Diego. We have successfully fought back against human trafficking nationwide and especially within the San Diego area, rescuing over 200 girls from human trafficking. Thankfully, through our mission of ending human trafficking, we have made a difference, all without charging families a dime for our services.

You Can Help

Even if you can’t attend a notable fundraiser event like this one held to raise funds for this cause, you too can help further our mission and become part of our #ChildSavedNotSold campaign. We do not want to leave even one child in this lifestyle when there are ways to get them out and ensure they get the help they need to recover from their situation and go on to live a healthy, productive life. Give today to join the mission of ending human trafficking once and for all.
