Ranch & Coast

For more than 50 years, the Ranch & Coast Magazine has been covering important events affecting the San Diego area. This issue of the prestigious magazine is providing a more in-depth look at the November 17th Fifth Annual Fundraiser #ChildSavedNotSold Gala, which took place at Pendry San Diego. The keynote speaker of the event was the beloved Lara Logan, who is known for her candid reporting from some of the world’s most dangerous places. This fact as well as her quality of work has earned her a prominent place among the world’s leading foreign correspondents.

Who Else Will Be Part of The Gala?

In addition to Lara Logan, the event itself will be overseen by the Master of Ceremonies Mark Larson of KUSI News and AM760 Radio. In addition, during the fundraising event, Saved in America is proudly set to honor the McMillen Family Foundation with the prestigious #ChildSavedNotSold Award.

The Reason Such Fundraisers Are Important

While it's nice to get all dressed up and eat a delicious meal as well as honor some well-deserving people for their work throughout the year, the fundraising gala is necessary to ensure that Saved in America can continue to fight back against the horrors of human trafficking. SIA proudly assists victims of sexual exploitation not only in getting back into a safe environment through rescue but also help getting them into safe housing and assisting in the investigation involving the case. This all leads to a greater chance that these bad guys will face the consequences of their actions.

SIA Has a History of Helping

Through fundraising events like this as well as other donations, SIA has assisted in the investigation and recovery of more than 260 children nationwide. Of this number, 60% were thankfully recovered before they were trafficked by the industry which of course makes for a much better outcome long-term and recovery-wise. Since December 2014 with its founding, SIA has been vital in fighting back against the human trafficking industry. Thanks to their team of professional volunteers they have been immensely successful when called onto a case, often finding the missing child or at least having a good idea where they are between 24 and 32 hours after they are brought into the case. All of which is free of charge thanks to these fundraisers.
