Living Better

As part of a Living Better in San Diego Podcast, our own Kirby Horrell, retired Master Chief Navy SEAL, discusses the fifth annual fundraising dinner set to take place on November 17th. This fundraising dinner is necessary to ensure that our organization, Saved in America (SIA) can continue to fight against the predators of the human trafficking industry and serve as a go-between, helping children escape this hellacious existence. Child sex trafficking is astoundingly the fastest-growing crime in the United States. That’s right, faster than drugs, faster than murders, faster than any other crime! That is why now is the time to take back the innocence of our children and protect them from greedy predators who only want to use them for their financial gain.

Services Free of Charge

Fundraisers like this one are vitally important to the continuing work of Saved in America. Without the donations raised through these events and the other donations we receive, we would not be able to offer our services free of charge. Thankfully, SIA has successfully helped with over 260 rescues, taking kids from the human trafficking industry or finding them before they become their victims. All our services and that of our professional volunteers are given free of charge to families in need of help. That means no family is ever charged for our services. Not only are the volunteers made up of highly skilled professionals who have extensive experience as former law enforcement officers or military specialists, but all volunteers are also licensed private investigators, which means they can work on behalf of the family and the missing child to help find them quickly after they go missing. Within 24 to 32 hours, SIA usually has a pretty good idea where the missing child is located. It is then that they hand this information over to the authorities.

No Kicking Down Doors

Although the impact SIA has on an investigation is immense, when it comes time to orchestrate a rescue of a child from a potentially or likely dangerous location, SIA gives the necessary information to the local law enforcement who then takes over and orchestrates the rescue. This is important as SIA is never a group that wants to blaze in kicking doors in, instead, we work with law enforcement to ensure that everything is done by the book.
