SEALs Rescue Children

FBI data from 2016 reveal that there were 465,676 entries for missing children into the National Crime Information Center. Unfortunately, since that time, the immense problem of human trafficking among the nation’s runaway population has only increased. Saved in America, created by founder Joseph Travers along with other volunteers, was founded as a way to help offset this significant problem and help cops find missing children.

Saved in America Volunteers

Saved in America is made up of highly professional volunteers. Many of them are former police officers and/or detectives. Others were military specialists, such as Navy SEALs. Each volunteer who works with Saved in America is also a licensed private investigator. This means all the volunteers understand the legal ramifications of every action they take and ensure that they remain within the confines of the law while helping facilitate the rescue of missing children. Some of these volunteers are experienced in detective work, others surveillance and still others in social media research. Therefore, the team is uniquely equipped for the job at hand, finding missing kids before the bad guys can victimize them further.

San Diego HBO, VICE News Special

This particular piece follows the group of Saved in America volunteers as they assist a mother from Utah in the search of her daughter. This is only one of the many rescues that the group has overseen as the need for rescues within the nation has increased. Since its inception in 2015, Saved in America has assisted in the rescue of some 35 children, locating them between California and Florida. Of course, this number has risen since the time of the airing of this piece.

More About Saved in America

Saved in America is fulfilling a need in America that is growing increasingly out of hand. Human sex trafficking is the fastest growing business in organized crime. Police departments, which are understaffed and overworked are woefully incapable of providing the man-hours necessary to find runaway kids. Sex traffickers know they have the upper hand and are taking advantage of the most vulnerable among us, our children. Thankfully, organizations like our own at Saved in America are stepping in with our own highly skilled volunteers to serve the role that police departments are unable to provide.
