Uniting for America’s Children: A Real Solution to Child Trafficking From Our Founder

At Saved in America, we believe that ending child trafficking starts with action—action rooted in courage, collaboration, and compassion. An article written by Saved in America founder, Joseph A. Travers, recently published in PI Magazine titled “The Solution to the Child Trafficking Problem in America” reinforces this belief. It calls for a nationwide effort to dismantle trafficking networks by combining the strengths of law enforcement, private investigators, non-profits, and vigilant communities.

The problem of child trafficking in America is far-reaching, but so is the solution. It begins with recognizing that missing and exploited children are often the first targets of traffickers. By finding these children early—before they become victims of exploitation—we can cut off one of the main supply lines traffickers rely on.

At Saved in America, our team of volunteer operators—retired Navy SEALs, military veterans, and former law enforcement professionals—work around the clock to locate and recover missing and exploited children. As the article highlights, solutions lie in public-private partnerships. We work hand-in-hand with law enforcement agencies and families, offering our services at no cost. Our approach aligns perfectly with the article’s call to create a united front in this battle.

But recovery is only the first step. Prevention through education and awareness is key. Communities must be empowered with knowledge—how trafficking works, the warning signs, and how to protect children from predators. Saved in America also engages in public education, speaking at schools, events, and conferences, spreading the message that knowledge saves lives.

Joseph’s article also emphasizes addressing the systemic failures that leave children vulnerable in the first place: poverty, abuse, and lack of support systems. While we focus on recovery, we advocate for better protections and resources for at-risk youth. Every child deserves a life free from fear and exploitation.
