Spotlight: Joseph Travers Featured in Working PI Magazine
We’re excited to share that Joseph A. Travers, CPI, CCDI, CMECI, founder of Saved in America, was recently featured in Working PI Magazine for his instrumental book, “The Investigation of Missing and Exploited Children.”
Saved in America (SIA) is a California Non-Profit Organization of current and former Police Officers and Navy SEALs/Marine Raiders turned licensed and insured Private Investigators who, without charge, assist parents and Law Enforcement in locating runaway, missing & exploited children. Since December 2014, SIA has assisted in the investigation and locating more than 280 children nationwide. 60% of all recovered children were found before being trafficked.
In his feature, Joseph Travers explains how SIA’s unique makeup of former law enforcement officers, special operators, and private investigators combines forces to rescue at-risk children. He provides a detailed breakdown of SIA’s 6-step “R.E.S.C.U.E.” methodology:
RECORD – Gather information, secure Power of Attorney, and develop an execution plan.
EXAMINE – Conduct social networking investigations, compile intel, and establish law enforcement liaison.
SUMMARIZE – Consolidate leads, witness testimonies, and digital evidence for investigative pursuit.
COORDINATE – Confirm leads, coordinate with law enforcement, and formulate a recovery plan.
UNITE – Execute identification and rescue with immediate law enforcement support.
EQUALIZE – Return the child safely to family or rehabilitation services and follow up for civil/criminal prosecution.
From proactive digital investigations to coordinating with local law enforcement and aftercare programs, Joseph’s book underscores how SIA’s R.E.S.C.U.E. process is saving lives and transforming futures.
Why This Matters
Child sex trafficking and exploitation have become alarmingly prevalent in the United States. By locating and recovering at-risk children—often before traffickers can exploit them—Saved In America is diminishing these horrific crimes and guiding survivors toward healing and hope.
“SIA not only helps get these missing and exploited children back, but helps the children long after they are returned to safety.”
— Joseph A. Travers
