Trafficking Awareness

Saved in America is committed to finding as many missing or runaway children as possible before they become the unfortunate victims of the human trafficking industry. This is accomplished through various means, one of which is the increased focus on educating the public about the issue through awareness. One such rally created to do just that took place in Balboa, San Diego in 2018. This annual event focuses on human trafficking awareness. Saved in America’s founder, Joseph Travers spoke with the public at this event about this issue and how it needs to be addressed here in America.

Saved in America

Saved in America was launched as a way to address human trafficking in America. There had been organizations made up of Navy SEALs and other professionals who were fighting against the horrors abroad. Our co-founder Joseph Travers understood that this evil didn’t exist just outside of America, so the fight should not be only outside its borders either. The creation of Saved in America was Joseph Travers' way to bring a similar focus to this type of crime in America.

Awareness is Key

Many people who reside in America are simply unaware of the horrors of the human trafficking industry as it exists in this country.  They don’t know that there are thousands of victims, spanning all types of backgrounds and races. That every child, no matter their home life or their background, is at risk of being victimized. That’s why awareness is so important so parents and those who work with kids can be on the lookout for the signs of grooming, which is the process in which the predators earn the trust of their victims, convincing them to run away from their support system.

Saved in America Works For Free

Thankfully, Saved in America works on behalf of missing kids and their families free of charge. They operate through donations only, from those who care about seeing the industry defeated here in America. While the costs of rescuing a child can be significant, no parent is ever charged for the services of this group. Instead, they work alongside law enforcement to help find, rescue, and restore the child to their families as well as get them the help they need to reacclimatize into society and live a healthy, productive life.
