Fight Trafficking

Many people who are not in law enforcement or have a good understanding of the human trafficking industry are shocked to learn how prevalent human trafficking is in America. This article by Simple Most explains the reality of human trafficking within America’s borders and the courageous battle Saved In America is waging against this evil fighting for the lives of teens.

America Isn’t Free From Trafficking

You might assume that human trafficking, also known as modern day slavery, is only something that happens in other countries. Surely, it doesn’t happen here in America. Unfortunately, that is not true. In reality, America is a hotbed for the human trafficking industry. In fact, according to stats, the city of San Diego is considered by the FBI to be one of the 13 highest child sex trafficking areas, with between 3,400 and 8,100 victims per year in that region. Retired San Diego police lieutenant explains the human trafficking problem as it exists today:

“The public has got to know what’s going on. It’s happening right here in San Diego, California.”

Statistics from the National Human Trafficking Hotline reveal that the three states within the United States in which there are the most human trafficking cases are Florida, Texas, and California.

What Can Be Done?

Thankfully, our organization, Saved In America has assisted to help innocent lives and families by fighting to recover missing or runaway children before they become victimized by the human trafficking industry. Our group is made up of professional volunteers who have spent their professional lives working in either law enforcement or the military. They now utilize their special skill set free of charge to fight back against this horrific industry to assist in the recovery of kids. Of course, a large aspect of fighting against this evil is bringing awareness to the problem. Many people simply are not aware of how prevalent the industry is within this country. Thankfully, Saved In America works free of charge to find kids and to help educate the public about these issues. Master Chief Kirby Horrell of Saved In America explains the group’s mission as follows:

“All we want to see is the recovery of that child and for them to brought back to where their childhood is not stolen from him or her.”  #ChildSavedNotSold
