Locate your child. This simple sentence embodies the overarching mission and the purpose behind the founding of our organization, Saved In America. Founder Joseph Travers, licensed and insured private investigator, pastor, and a former police officer gave a presentation to the Rotary Club explaining the mission and purpose of Saved In America and all the organization has accomplished since its founding in December 2014. Organizations like the Rotary Club are vital in helping spread the word about Saved In America and ensuring we can continue to save lives. 

Missing and Runaway Children at Great Risk For Trafficking

Saved In America was founded to combat the problem of finding missing and runaway kids. While having a kid run away or go missing is bad enough, the fact that many of these kids become prime targets for human trafficking after leaving the relative safety of their home, means that finding the kids quickly, before the bad guys do, is of paramount importance. Unfortunately, law enforcement agencies across the land are overwhelmed with the problem of locating missing children. When a child runs away it takes a great deal of investigative effort, including many man-hours and surveillance, data and research, to figure out where the child might be located. 

Law enforcement agencies are largely too overwhelmed with other cases, such as murder investigations and drug cases to assign police officers to these missing or runaway child cases. That is where Saved In America helps to fill in the gap. We provide this much-needed service to families at no charge to them. Thankfully, our record of finding these children and assisting in their recovery before they experience the horrors of human trafficking is great, as some 60% of kids are recovered before they are trafficked. 

Saved In America’s Services Don’t End There

Although recovering children from a horrific life is praise-worthy enough, we don’t stop there. Instead, we seek to ensure that kids get the help they need to recover in a safe space where they are given protection as well as counseling to heal. We also want to help families prosecute any predators who are involved in their kid running away, so we proudly help families procure legal representation. Outside of helping with individual cases, we have also provided help to high-risk juvenile shelters to protect the children housed within from further exploitation by predators and pimps. #ChildSavedNotSold
