Veterans Magazine

A write-up in San Diego Veterans Magazine positively highlighted the work accomplished by our own organization Saved In America. These efforts of course are only made possible thanks to our team of professional volunteers, many of whom are veterans who have proudly served our country abroad before coming back home and fighting the war against modern day slavery here on the home front. Our organization, which is headquartered in San Diego, California was founded in 2014. Since that time, we have successfully orchestrated over 260 recoveries of missing or exploited children.

Motivation That Led to The Creation of Saved In America

Founder Joseph Travers has shared the story of Saved in America’s creation many times. It was created in part as a reaction to hearing about the Brittanee Drexel case back in 2009, a case where a young girl of 17-years-old was taken from her hotel in South Carolina. Eventually, it was determined that Brittanee had been taken by human traffickers, sold, used and then killed. This case made Travers think that something needed to be done to prevent this type of crime from happening to innocent kids in America. Terror Hunters, which helps rescue victims from the human trafficking industry globally, was also a partial inspiration for the creation of our own organization.

Volunteers Are Made up of Professionals

Our operators, which number over 30, are all made up of licensed and insured private investigators, many with a background in law enforcement or have been successful military specialists such as Navy SEALs. They utilize their unique skill set and professional experience to locate and return lost and exploited children to an environment of safety and love. Our organization even follows up to ensure that the victims get the help they need to recover from the trauma they have experienced and are kept safe from predators as they seek to heal. We also provide help to prosecute the bad guys and keep them off the streets, keeping them from hurting children ever again.

Sad State, But There is Hope

Unfortunately, even in our own wonderful country, there exists an underpinning of evil in the form of human trafficking. Our organization is committed to fighting against this evil and restoring order and safety to America’s children, one victim at a time. It is this volunteer effort that costs parents nothing that is designed to restore America to greatness and a land of peace and safety. #ChildSavedNotSold
