Trafficking in The U.S.

While human trafficking, considered modern-day slavery, is a known problem globally, many mistakenly assume it is an evil that affects others but not our own nation. Unfortunately, according to this eye-opening piece entitled Saved in America: A Look at Human Trafficking in the U.S., the danger of the industry is much closer to home than many realize. In each and every state, even in the quietest most seemingly innocent towns where no one would expect any evil to exist much less thrive, there is a vile evil sweeping the land.

What Danger Exists

Just like the big bad wolf, the dangers of human trafficking exist in the shadows. These predators, in the form of gangs, both street and prison gangs, as well as drug cartels have discovered the profitable nature of the sex trade industry. They groom their victims, who are often young girls who are in either foster homes or are being abused in their current environment. They convince their victims to trust them, slowly causing them to lower their guard. They will sometimes use drugs as well to build a greater connection and dependency. Eventually, the girl will run away from whatever semblance of support they have. Once they are away from their support system, they become easy prey for the extremely skilled predators.

How Saved In America Fights Back

Our organization at Saved In America is made up of volunteers who are former police officers or Navy SEALs. They are each licensed to carry firearms and are licensed and insured private investigators. All our work is done in coordination with the local police and the parents of the victims when applicable. Local police are called in to make the actual recovery and subsequent arrests.

Saved In America Doesn’t Charge a Finder’s Fee

Our services at Saved In America are completely free of charge. We depend on grants and donations to fund our efforts and find the missing and exploited children who have become victims of the sex trade industry.  Our mission is to save those who have been victimized by the industry and restore their lives and their hope for a better future. We also help them as they recover from their trauma and assist in the conviction of those responsible for the some of the vilest acts imaginable. #ChildSavedNotSold
