Kirby Horrell, who is an active member of Saved in America and provides superb military specialty knowledge thanks to his extensive experience as a Navy SEAL, holds the distinction of being the last Navy SEAL from Vietnam to be on active duty. His illustrious military career is admirable, but his work since he retired from the Navy is just as important. His new mission is to work with Saved in America fighting on the home front against human trafficking in the United States, which he talked about in depth on the Jocko Podcast entitled Kirby Horrell: The Last Vietnam SEAL to be on Active Duty. 

Kirby Knew About Human Trafficking

Due to his experience working through the military abroad, Kirby already knew the horrors of human trafficking, but his experience was mainly in other countries. However, a good friend of his upon Kirby’s retirement sought out his help to bring the fight back to the homeland and to seek justice and freedom for American children who were falling victim to human trafficking. Kirby explains that previously he was unaware, even with his military expertise, that some 3,000 kids were missing in Southern California at any given time and at great risk of being trafficked. 

How Saved in America is Fighting Back Against Trafficking

Saved in America is an organization made up of former military specialists and law enforcement experts who volunteer their time to track down and find missing kids who are considered in danger of falling victim to human trafficking. They give of their time and expertise to help stand in the gap for law enforcement, an organization that is overwhelmed by the problem of human trafficking and one that does not have the manpower or the resources to fight back adequately. Kirby is one of the valued members of this team that is fighting back against the evils of his industry every day.

Kirby explains as part of his interview that every type of family and every child is at risk for being victimized by the ever-growing human trafficking industry. This evil empire has infiltrated America and is a real enemy existing right on the home front.
