Child Saved

Taking place at the beautiful Cuvier Club in LaJolia, the second annual Child Saved not Sold Fundraiser was a huge success. The event sold out, with 180 attendees. Over $150,000 was raised throughout the evening thanks in part to ticket sales and the auction. There were also many notable guests including parents of children who had used Saved in America services to successfully rescue their daughter from human trafficking. The special night with dinner and more was put on for the sole purpose of continuing to educate about human trafficking as well as raising needed funds for Saved in America as they continue their work in the community and throughout the nation.

Why Fundraising is Necessary

Saved in America does not charge families a dime for their services, nor do they charge for their help after a rescue has been completed when they offer resources to families in the form of legal help as well as safe housing. However, that doesn’t mean that these services are without cost. The cost to rescue even one child is several thousand dollars. This includes travel expenses, equipment costs, and more. Of course, none of the licensed private investigators who give their time and effort to this organization earn an income. They don’t charge a dime for their expertise and are willing to help. However, equipment costs and other expenses do add up, making Saved in America dependent on fundraisers like the one mentioned to continue to fight against human trafficking.

Why Saved in America is so Important

Law enforcement agencies are overwhelmed by the epidemic levels of human trafficking throughout the nation. These numbers are booming and continue to increase every day. As a result, they simply don’t have the manpower or the resources to track down and find missing kids that “run away.” Sadly, these kids are the most at risk for human trafficking and often end up as a statistic if someone doesn't intervene. This is where Saved in America comes in to fight back against the horrors of the trafficking industry and to serve alongside others who want to rescue kids from such atrocities. Therefore, nights like the Child Saved not Sold fundraising events are immensely important as they allow Saved in America to continue to focus on rescuing kids.
