Saved in America’s Veteran Backbone
Saved in America is an organization that is committed to fighting back against the terror of human trafficking within American borders. Their team is made up of highly skilled individuals who devote their time to finding these missing children before traffickers can get them out of the area. Many of the volunteers are veterans who have been trained in various types of military specialties. They previously used their knowledge, courage, and strength in the military to serve America. Now, they use it in another way with Saved in America as they fight for kids who are taken into this inhuman industry.
The Idea Was Born, in Part From an Article
Joseph Travers, founder of Saved in America first thought of the idea of creating a team of specialists to fight back against trafficking when he read an article that explained how a team was doing just that abroad to fight back against terror and human trafficking in other countries. Due to his immense experience within the police department, he knew that human trafficking, also known as modern-day slavery, was just as much a problem in the United States as it was elsewhere. Consequently, this gave him the idea to begin forming a team of terror fighters on the home front through Saved in America.
Team Effort
Travers formed a group of professionals with both military and law enforcement backgrounds to head up this organization. All team members are licensed private investigators and refuse to accept pay for their work against human trafficking. Saved in America does not charge families for their services but instead depends on fundraising efforts and donations to continue to do the important work of rescuing American children from the sex trade.
