Child Saved

When it comes to our own Saved in America organization, there is one mission that stands above the rest, this is to have each child who is missing or exploited, saved, not sold. This video explains in great detail the dangers that exist for young people today when it comes to the growing problem of human trafficking. Various SIA volunteers who make up the group’s workforce and their team of former military and law enforcement specialists come together to offer further insight to parents, explaining why they need to contact Saved in America if they discover their child is missing sooner rather than later.

What Are The Statics?

The stats prove that human trafficking, considered a modern-day form of human slavery, is a thriving industry in today’s society, with more than two million victims worldwide. However, that stat doesn’t get better when just considering America as there are nearly 100,000 children victimized by the industry within this nation alone. Sadly, the number of victims who are rescued from this horrific existence amounts to less than 2%. These numbers prove that human trafficking is more than a passing trend or an insignificant issue. It’s a real problem causing real heartache all over not only America but the world as well.

It’s a Problem Here at Home

While many Americans might be aware of human trafficking being an issue abroad, or in Mexico or other parts of Europe, many are unaware of the very real danger it poses right here in America and San Diego, California specifically. Throughout this video, parents are urged to seek action quickly if they suspect their child might be victimized by human trafficking. Of course, even better than that, SIA hopes to help parents prevent such a situation from happening in the first place by understanding what to look for in terms of social media grooming and other forms of recruitment that are taking place daily not only on devices but in person in many cases as well, even on the campuses of schools throughout the county. Thankfully, SIA has worked to rescue over 260 girls to date from human trafficking rings. A great number of them were found before they were victimized by a sex ring, but others suffered that horrible fate and were rescued and given help to restart their lives.
