R.E.S.C.U.E
The acronym R.E.S.C.U.E is an easy-to-remember explanation for the way that Saved in America performs its services, from the very first encounter with a family to the end result of a rehabilitated life. Saved in America is an organization that offers its services, free of charge, to families in need. These services, which are to rescue a child who has been victimized by the human trafficking industry, are provided by a highly skilled team of professionals whose background includes police service as well as military specializations. The following is a breakdown of what each part of SIA services mean and how they work together to produce successful rescues and rehabilitate lives:
R: Record
The first step is when the parent contacts SIA and gives the power of attorney for them to access their case with local law enforcement and to look through the missing person’s social media. It also includes planning and executing a plan to first find the missing child and then create a plan of rescue.
E: Examine
This step of the process includes initiating the human intelligence investigation matrix and developing a law enforcement liaison who will work in conjunction with the family and local law enforcement to oversee the case.
S: Summarize
When you get to this step in the rescue process, it means SIA is developing social investigations and looking into leads to further investigate and review.
C: Coordinate
This step sees the SIA team confirming investigative leads and then coordinating with law enforcement contacts to create a plan of rescue. In many cases, SIA does not perform the actual rescue itself but instead works with law enforcement, sharing the child’s location, and then they step in and perform the rescue.
U: Unite
At this juncture of the process, the team works to create a recovery plan and modify anything that might be necessary. The result of this step is reuniting the child with her family after the rescue has been successfully orchestrated.
E: Equalize
This final and sixth step of SIA’s rescue process includes rehabilitation for the missing child as well as helping them obtain civil prosecution to legally go after the criminals who victimized them.
SIA does not work as vigilantes but instead works closely with law enforcement to do everything in the right way to ensure that the child is rescued and gets the help they need to recover.
