Lives Changed
As a promotion for the 2nd annual Las Vegas #ChildSavedNotSold Event, this video posted by Saved in America explains the mission of Saved in America and how important its work is to saving innocent children from the horrors of sex trafficking. It also showcases the verse that God used to speak to founder Joseph Travers at the founding of this organization. The verse was Isaiah 6:8, which reads “I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I said, Here am I, send me.”
The Need Was Immense
Before Saved in America was founded in 2009, there were very few if any organizations that were created to fight against human trafficking within America’s borders. There were organizations designed to fight against it globally, but not within the confines of the United States specifically. It was this mission that Travers felt called to get involved with, it was this fight that he felt the Lord sending him into by impressing Isaiah 6:8 into his heart.
Fundraising Is Important
The impetus for this video is the 2nd Annual #ChildSavedNotSold Fundraiser. Dinners like these are immensely important as they allow Saved in America to give their services free of charge. These services are made possible by the highly skilled knowledge and experience of many professional volunteers who are all licensed private investigators and have all either served in law enforcement or in the military as specialists of some sort. This skill set means they are able to oversee surveillance, understand the under workings of the criminal world, and can even use modern technology and social media to track down and find missing girls who have become victimized by the human trafficking industry.
It Doesn’t End With The Rescue
Saved in America also uses fundraising efforts to provide help for victims after they have been rescued from the industry. This help can look like getting them in a safe house where they will be protected from predators who seek to lure them back into the industry or can look like helping families with the legal side of things, trying to see these predators put behind bars where they belong for the heinous crimes they have committed against children. This all and more are why fundraising efforts are so important to the continued work of Saved in America.
