200+ Saved
When Joseph Travers and other volunteers joined forces to form Saved in America in 2014, it was likely a goal to reach over 200 teens saved but was not a foregone conclusion at least at first. Thankfully, though, through the effort of Saved in America, there have been over 200 teens saved from the horrific sex trafficking industry and that number continues to grow.
Saved in America is Needed
The founder of Saved in America Joseph Travers understood the immense evil and the power that was welded by these trafficking predators. He said, “As a former Police Detective and current Licensed Private Investigator, I have seen countless cases of missing children. I knew many of them ended up being trafficked into human slavery.”
This sad reality is what compelled Travers to meet with other volunteers who had formed similar rescue organizations designed to track down victims abroad to create something similar within the confines of the United States. This was the beginning of Saved in America, a group that has now served a vital part in over 200 rescues since its launch.
All Volunteers Are Highly Trained
The triad of evil that makes up and funds human trafficking rings within America is made up of prison gangs, street gangs, and cartels. These networks of evil are extremely efficient. They are good at what they do. They know the value of human life in terms of being able to sell and then resell the same victim over and over again. The product never runs out unlike when dealing drugs. Therefore, the volunteers who work with Saved in America also have to be highly skilled and knowledgeable to fight against these well-organized groups. All volunteers who work with Saved in America are either former special operators with the military or are former highly trained police officers. This gives them the knowledge they need to go after these groups and track down missing teens, returning them to their homes.
After this, as Travers states, the process of rescue begins:
“Once the child is located, the team immediately coordinates with law enforcement for the rescue of the child and the arrest of the predator. The team will transport the child to a pre-approved rehabilitation center, or police station, or return them to their home/family in coordination with the parent or guardian.”
