Sustained Success
Although it has been a while now, this news piece about the rescue of 15-year-old San Diego area teen Brianna Herrmann, from Jacksonville, FL, is an example of one of the many rescues Saved in America has been a vital part of throughout the last few years. While the human trafficking industry has boomed across America, especially in California where Saved in America is based, this organization is making a difference one family and one girl at a time.
A Nightmare Situation
Parents of young girls or caregivers only want their daughters to be safe. Unfortunately, thanks to the growth of the human trafficking industry, many times young girls are seen by these predators not as children but as assets, a way to make a profit, over and over again. A never-dilapidated supply of income, all on the backs of these girls who are tricked or coerced into the industry through various super-effective methods. When girls run away and are then kidnapped into the industry, this becomes a nightmare situation for the families left searching for their missing child.
Saved in America
When the founder of Saved in America Joseph Travers heard that there were organizations abroad that were made up of highly skilled professionals who donated their services towards rescuing kids enslaved in the sex trade, he knew there was a need for something similar in America. He understood— thanks to his extensive experience in law enforcement— that within California and all over America, human trafficking was thriving and only growing more prevalent. While many uninformed Americans might assume that human trafficking is something that only happens in other nations, the sad reality is that it is a booming industry right without our borders. Thankfully, Saved in America has stepped in and served hundreds of families and found hundreds of girls, rescuing them from this existence.
All Volunteer
Believe it or not, all the services provided by the professionals at Saved in America are free. They operate off donations and fundraisers that ensure that no family has to worry about paying for their life-saving services. Anyone is welcome to give towards the group’s continued efforts, but all families should know that if they need the services of Saved in America, the cost is not an issue as the service is free of charge.
