Saved in America (SIA) is a non-profit organization that launched in 2014, which works to help find lost and exploited children all at no cost to their families. While the technical demands and the man-hours needed to find a child are massive, meaning there is a significant monetary cost associated with each rescue, no families are ever charged a dime for the services of this wonderful organization. Therefore, to offset the cost and ensure that this necessary work continues, at no cost to families in need, Saved in America hosts annual fundraisers that are designed to raise money for the organization as well as promote more awareness of the problem of human trafficking as it exists in America. One such fundraiser took place at the beautiful Cuvier Club La Jolla

The annual Fundraiser Was Successful

Thankfully, the fundraising event was ultra-successful and sold out with 180 attendees. Throughout the elegant night, complete with auction and dinner, over $150,000 was raised for the ongoing efforts of SIA. Special guests such as those who have used the services of SIA to find their lost child were on hand to tell the real-life story of Saved in America and how it is making a marked impact throughout the country. The Britanee Drexel scholarship was even-handed out by Britanee’s mother who was in attendance, marking a special focus on one of the cases that brought SIA into existence in its beginning.

Fundraising is Necessary For Continued Rescues

Not only does SIA utilize intelligence and high-tech equipment to locate missing kids, but they also follow up with the victims to ensure they get the help they need to recover and make sure that they have legal representation to hopefully convict the predators that perpetuated they’re running away. Therefore, the organization needs resources to be able to do these tasks without placing an undue financial burden on the victim’s families. Consequently, fundraising and giving are of utmost importance for the continuation of the organization's work and its ability to offer its vital services at no charge. These annual fundraisers that showcase SIA’s work and highlight successes as well as honor victims will continue to be a crucial part of the ongoing work of the organization overall.
