Star Spangled Salute
A Star Spangled Salute was issued by the good people of 101.3 FM as a way to honor the work of Saved In America. Our organization, Saved In America, is made up of many veterans who served in specialized roles like Navy SEALs but also consist of former police officers. Suffice it to say that every single volunteer that makes up the workforce of Saved In America has been highly trained in some form of either law enforcement or military service, and all hold current private investigator status. We have all come together for one sole purpose, to fight against the horrors of sex trafficking. Therefore, the entire group at Saved In America has been granted a salute by the station!
The Prevalence of the Problem
In 2016, there were 7,621 cases of sex trafficking reported. That number has only continued to grow, even in the perceived safety of America’s borders. In fact, the cartels that formerly only dealt in weapons and drugs are now branching into the human trafficking industry, which has become a booming, lucrative industry. This has led to the uptick in the problem that has simply overwhelmed the law enforcement agencies of this country. This issue is growing immense and affecting kids from all socioeconomic backgrounds and home life situations. Sadly, every child is at risk of falling prey to these predators.
Saved In America, Helping Other Agencies
In addition to the work our organization has done in rescuing children, with more than 260 successful recoveries, our professional experts who make up our volunteer force have also helped other organizations to better understand how to combat this massive issue. Saved In America has shared its investigative techniques with the Human Smuggling & Trafficking Center, Washington, DC, The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Las Vegas, Nevada, Licensed Investigator Associations in Texas, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, and with the Naval Special Warfare Common in Coronado, California. This means that Saved In America not only devises ways to find missing kids more effectively, but they share these findings and techniques with other organizations to save even more lives. In addition, our founder Joseph Travers, has also authored several books on the topic as well. Well deserved of a Star Spangled Salute! #ChildSavedNotSold
