Last Vietnam SEAL

Saved In America's Special Operations Consultant, Kirby Horrell, appeared on a Jocko Podcast where he discussed his military career that spanned over 40 years. Interestingly enough, he was the last Vietnam SEAL. Kirby Horrell is a valued member of our organization and has utilized his immense training to further the reach of our team and assist in recovering more children from the horrors of human trafficking.

Kirby’s New Mission

After retiring from a career that spanned multiple decades, Kirby was approached by an old friend about joining a new cause. This one was right here on the home front, on American soil. This mission was to fight against the atrocities of human trafficking. Kirby had some experience doing just this abroad throughout his military career. After finding out that that move than 3,000 kids a year in Southern California alone were victimized by the human trafficking industry, he was glad to lend his knowledge to help American kids on American soil by joining Saved In America.

The Rescue Doesn’t Stop With the Recovery

Kirby goes on to explain that many girls who are rescued from trafficking will need to recover from addiction to drugs. This is often encouraged and/or forced by the predators in order to make the girls easier to manage and less likely to fight back against their oppressors. Therefore, when the girls are rescued from the grasp of the predators, their recovery is far from over. Instead, this is just the beginning of them working their way back into a healthy life. After their rescue, Saved In America continues to help these girls by giving them legal counsel and assist in finding rehabilitation and/or a safe living situation. This serves as a safe harbor for the girls to recover before they return to regular life.

Based in California, But Works Nationwide

While Saved In America will go anywhere in the country to recover kids, their home base is in San Diego, California. However, they will go to the kid, wherever they might be in their captive state. Saved In America informs and assists Law Enforcement with every case throughout the nation. To date, Saved In America has assisted in the recovery of more than 260 children. Kirby is happy to join the cause of liberating these kids from slavery and lend his immense knowledge to a new cause, post-retirement. #ChildSavedNotSold
