The American Dream

The American Dream Segment with Max Folkers interviewed Kirby Horrell, LPI, CMECI, Master Chief, and Special Operations Consultant for Saved in America. Kirby explains how his military experience began with Naval warfare in the 1960s and continued throughout an illustrious career, which included participation in every war since Vietnam and becoming a Navy SEAL.

Chasing Bad Guys, The Mission of Saved in America

For most of Kirby’s adult life, he was on a mission to fight against tyranny and evil throughout his military career. That continued even after the conclusion of his military duty through his work with Saved in America. Just as military forces fought against those who intended to harm the innocent among us, Saved in America has the same goal in mind when it comes to protecting kids from modern-day slavery in the form of human trafficking. Kirby was vital to the beginning of Saved in America as he was on the ground level of our amazing organization, bringing a military specialist skill set to the entire operation.

Former Military Special Forces, Police Join Forces

The immense problem of human trafficking within America’s borders prompted military and police specialists to join forces under Saved in America to utilize their immense skills to fight against the evils of human trafficking. Every volunteer with Saved in America is a licensed private investigator, and they all have either law enforcement or military backgrounds, giving them unique training, which they can then utilize to fight against the real-world evils of sex trafficking.

Donations Are Needed and Appreciated

Even though Saved in America is made up of many former specialists with immense skill sets, their efforts never come with a price tag at Saved in America. In fact, no family is ever charged for the services rendered. Of course, this doesn’t mean that there isn’t a cost related to finding a child. It takes a great deal of funds, in fact, from equipment costs to the expense of hotels and travel costs for the volunteers who are tracking these kids down. Therefore, any donations given towards the organization help cover these costs and enable Saved in America volunteers to continue to do their work, tracking down kids and returning them to their families, and getting them out of the nightmare of human trafficking, all free of charge.
