VC Chamber Part I

This first part of the Valley Center Chamber of Commerce Interview features Joseph Travers, founder of Saved in America. This interview, which takes place inside Saved in America’s mobile reconnaissance center, showcases how our organization mobilizes to find missing and exploited children.

The Center is Designed With Rescue In Mind

Within the confines of the mobile unit, Saved in America has records of every single child that has ever been rescued by the organization. They also have various electronic tools that they utilize to help them track down and find missing children. The mobile unit provides a necessary home base for all rescuers and also provides parents with a safe place they can stay during the process of finding and rescuing their missing child. It really is a home base that can be driven anywhere in the country to find and save missing or exploited children.

No Family is Ever Charged For Services

Although the costs to rescue a child can be substantial, no family or parent is ever charged for Saved in America’s services. Instead, we depend on donations to keep our organization operational. Without the donations of the concerned public, there is no way we could do what we do to save lives.

Saved in America’s Team

The team of professional volunteers at Saved in America is made up of individuals from all walks of life. Some have prior law enforcement experience, others were specialists in the military, such as Navy SEALs, and others were more focused on reconnaissance work and the technical side of surveillance. This team comes together, though, from their many backgrounds and seeks to find a child who is missing.

All volunteers are licensed private investigators. This is important because it gives the team the legal right to search for a child and act on their family’s behalf. It also means that everything Saved in America does it legally aboveboard. No snatch and grab jobs here. Instead, the team tracks down a missing child, using various methods and then finds the assumed location. Once the location is identified and confirmed, law enforcement is called onto the scene to perform the actual rescue. Then Saved in America helps the family by following up and ensuring access for kids to needed recovery help after enduring such a traumatic event.
