Pedagogy Education Part I

Every year around the world, millions of children are kidnapped or coerced into sexual exploitation or modern-day slavery known as sex trafficking. While many assume this problem only visits the shores of foreign lands, it is sadly not the case. In reality, human trafficking is very much thriving even within the borders of the most wonderful nation of all, The United States of America. This problem was laid out in this Part I Pedoggy Education piece.

How Prevalent is The Problem on American Soil?

The U.S. National Human Trafficking hotline received 6,244 reports of human trafficking in 2017. About 50% of all trafficking victims will eventually end up as sex slaves. This of course is a barbaric existence that is almost unimaginable for most of us. This reality has led to the creation of organizations, like our own at Saved in America, a group whose sole purpose is to find and rescue children before they face this horrid fate.

Mission: Child Saved not Sold

Saved in America has one main mission and that is to see each child saved not sold into the human trafficking industry. Our organization is made up of former specialists like Navy SEALs who now operate our volunteer operation. These professionals work hand-in-hand with law enforcement officers to supplement the force’s efforts and substantiate faster rescues, by doing the time-consuming work of research and surveillance. All of this and no family is charged even one dime for the service.

Why The Efforts of Saved in America are Needed

Law enforcement officials want to be able to track down and rescue each and every runaway child in their jurisdiction. Unfortunately, due to the wide range of responsibilities these officers face, including finding murderers and drug dealers, they are unable to commit the man-hours necessary to do the job adequately. To track down and find a child who has been lured away from home can be very time-consuming and costly, averaging around $5,000 a case, with countless hours of surveillance and research demanded. Most police forces simply don’t have the resources to allocate to such an endeavor no matter their desire to see wrongs made right and innocent children saved. Therefore, Saved in America is proudly standing in the gap serving in these ways to help law enforcement all over the country.
