Why Joining is a Good Idea
The Valley Center Business Association (VCBA) is a fairly new association, only being in existence for a bit over three years. However, according to the groups and organizations that are part of the VCBA, being part of this worthwhile organization is beneficial in a variety of ways. For example, the initial reason to begin the VCBA was to create a welcoming, transparent environment for community businesses to promote themselves and receive needed support. The VCBA’s mission statement is worth noting as it embodies the purpose of the association. It is to educate, inform, provide useful services to partners and to actively represent, promote and support local businesses within the community.
Saved in America is Part of the Organization
Our own Joseph Travers was the speaker of an event put on by VCBA to further encourage additional community involvement. He represents Saved in America, which is a member of the VCBA partnership. Like other businesses within the association, Saved in America understands the immense benefits of joining such a group. Benefits like helping to educate the public through educating the leaders are just one of the many reasons for our own organization to join the ranks of the VCBA.
Education is Key
Before there is an awareness that a problem exists, there can be no community efforts to try to curtail that issue. Therefore, allowing our own Joseph Travers to speak before this organization and the community leaders in attendance at a meeting was vitally important toward furthering the efforts of Saved in America. There exists among America’s borders a crisis of sorts when it comes to human trafficking. This is in no way only a third-world issue, but one that is taking technology and the insurgence of cartels and using these to build an evil triad whose goal is to victimize children.
It Takes a Village
As with anything in life, it really takes a village to get the job done. Thankfully, VCBA represents this village. Together, the businesses within this association are committed to stopping human trafficking and are on board with helping Saved in America with its efforts as an organization. This is also a great way to build awareness within the community that the problem exists and communicate that the scope of the issue is vast.
