Inhumane Part II

The FBI states that there were over 300,000 missing children reported in 2020 alone. This number represents a wide range of possible situations. However, a great number of these kids, if not found and rescued quickly will end up in the hands of a human trafficker. Missing children make ideal prey for the predators that seek to find them and exploit them while they are away from the protection of their families. It is this devastating reality that finds its home even in the freest nation, our own United States of America that is the topic of the Inhuman Documentary Part II Podcast

Featured Guest Stephanie Myers

Our own Stephanie Myers has a rich history of professional experience that she utilizes to help Saved in America find missing and exploited children. She shares a great deal of information about grooming and rescuing and how Saved in America approaches finding and rescuing missing children. There are five steps in the grooming process a child, which prepares them for human trafficking. This is very confusing for a child because from their perspective, the predator is acting like their friend. They flatter them, they encourage them, they often give them what they are missing out on in their own personal lives. This leads the child to trust the predator. This is when the process of kidnapping takes place, where the trafficker convinces the child to leave the protection of their home and venture out on their own. It is now that they are most vulnerable to sex trafficking.

This span of time after the child has left their home, but before they have entered the sex trafficking scene, is of paramount importance. It is during this time that Saved in America aims to find and rescue these children and return them to their safety nets or get them the help they need to create that safety net and hopefully not be victimized again.
