How it All Started

Joseph Travers found the impetus for the creation of Saved In America in a variety of places. First, his own personal background in law enforcement meant he saw the depravity of humanity as it relates to how we treat the most innocent among us, our children. Secondly, the Brittanee Drexel case, when this 17-year-old girl went missing during a vacation in South Carolina and was found to be the victim of human trafficking that ended horribly with her death also further pointed out the need for an organization like our own. Then, learning about the efforts of the “Retired Hunters Hope to End Child Sex Slavery” further emphasized the need for a similar type of organization to specialize in finding missing and exploited children within America’s borders.

Travers Met up With Other Professionals in the Industry

Pastor Travers met up with other professionals within the industry. Through these meetings, the efforts of former special operators in the military, a Navy SEAL more specifically, as well as those of Travers and his law enforcement expertise were combined to form the beginnings of modern-day Saved In America. With over 30 operators presently, all of which are licensed and insured private investigators, Saved In America has quickly grown from just an idea of Travers’ to a substantial foe to overcome for the bad guys who wish to harm children for their own gain.

Funding Remains an Issue

Unfortunately, even when the cause is immensely valid, funding still remains a problem for many organizations. It costs an estimated $5,000 to recover a child locally and even more in other states. With inflation and increases in prices, the cost has continued to rise. Saved In America doesn’t charge families for their services. Therefore, all these resources have to be raised through other means in order to keep recovering America’s children, so no family is turned away from needed services.

Saved In America Fight Against the Predators of the Streets

Currently, Saved In America is one of very few private, non-government agencies that is seeking to recover missing or lost children within the United States of America. We stand against the evils of the drug cartels and street and prison gangs as they seek to further victimize the children of this nation. #ChildSavedNotSold
