At no charge to families, Saved In America (SIA) volunteers to assist parents and law enforcement to locate missing, runaway and exploited children – the groups most vulnerable to sexual trafficking. For victims of sexual exploitation, SIA assists in procuring legal representation, safe housing, and rehabilitative therapy. SIA also aids high-risk juvenile shelters to protect children from further exploitation by pimps and predators.  Since December 2014, SIA has assisted in the investigation and recovery of more than 250 children nationwide. 60% of all recovered children were found before being trafficked.

The dinner will recognize Honorary Chair, A-1 Self Storage; “Defenders” Papa Doug Manchester, nominated to be the U.S. ambassador to the Bahamas in 2017, and Jack McGrory, retired Marine Corps Lieutenant and Rifle Platoon Commander; and “Champion” Eric Basu, retired Navy SEAL Officer and Saved In America Advisory Board Chair.  Other generous donors include philanthropist Denny Sanford, Michael & Victoria Fitzpatrick, two World Series Champion Aubrey Huff, and The Apprentice Reality TV contestant and Saved In America Advisory board member Stephanie Myers, amongst many others.

“It is an honor to support Saved In America and the incredible work they do to help vulnerable children.  Having served for our country as a Marine, I understand the sacrifices and hard work it takes to protect our freedom. I commend the SIA operators for saving children’s lives and combating child sex trafficking - one child at a time,” said Jack McGrory.

Papa Doug Manchester added, “we give thanks and praise to the heroes who have served for our country and are once again serving to assist families in need; they represent the best and brightest amongst us.”

Child Sex Trafficking is the Fastest Growing Crime in the United States and California is usually the #1 state, in which 3 of 4 victims are U.S. citizens. During the pandemic, the world stopped, however sexual predators did not.  With children at home and online more than ever, online exploitation and trafficking increased nearly 50%.  The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) received 37,872 reports of online enticement in the U.S. in 2020 (up from 19,174), and 98% of victims did not know the offender online. There were also 17,000 reports of child sex trafficking, in which 1 in 6 children reported missing were runaways and victims of sex trafficking.

“The atrocities of child sex trafficking must end.  The statistics are grim and speak loudly. The recovery of these children is our calling,” stated Joseph Travers, Chairman Emeritus and Founder of Saved In America.  “Our reward is the look we receive in the eyes of the parents when we recover their child.”

The dinner will feature real life testimonials from a mother and 15-year-old Madison, who was a victim of traffickers and recovered by SIA three times.  Madison will receive the 4th Annual #ChildSavedNotSold Scholarship to assist with rehabilitation and continued education.  “Thank you Saved In America!  You saved two lives; I would have not made it without Madison.  You are all in my prayers,” stated Madison’s mother.

The Pledge of Allegiance will be conducted by Kirby Horrell, retired Navy SEAL Master Chief and Special Operations Consultant; and Mr. Morgan will provide an update on the border crisis and how open borders are directly affecting increases in illicit drugs, labor and child sex trafficking, cartels, sexual predators, gang members, and human smugglers entering our country.

“When policies open our borders in a blatant effort to incentivize, encourage, and facilitate illegal immigration, our borders also become increasingly open and vulnerable to the vast and complex set of ever-changing threats facing our nation,” stated Morgan.  “Criminal organizations will exploit every gap and loophole made available through weak, ambiguous, and faulty U.S. policy.  They are masters at exploitation.  Strengthening an organization’s capacity to facilitate one criminal activity expands their ability to facilitate other criminal schemes such as human trafficking, drugs, and smuggling of gang members and criminal aliens into the U.S.  Make no mistake - criminal organizations are paying close attention to what’s happening at our borders and the dramatic shift in U.S. policies.”
